Introduction
MITS Journal is dedicated to maintaining high ethical standards throughout the publication process to advance and share knowledge.
Editors
• Editors decide which papers get published in the journal.
• Manuscripts are evaluated based on significance, originality, clarity, research validity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
• Decisions are made without considering the author’s race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political views.
• Editors must understand legal issues like libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
• Manuscript details should only be shared with relevant people (authors, reviewers, advisors, and publishers).
• Editors and board members cannot use unpublished materials for their research without the author’s written permission.
Authors
• Authors must present objective discussions of their research and provide enough detail for others to replicate their experiments.
• Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
• Authors might need to provide research data for editorial review and comply with open data requirements.
• Authors should ensure their work is original and properly acknowledge the use of others’ work or words.
• Manuscripts should not be submitted if they reproduce already published papers.
• Authors can use their own articles in their work compilations.
• Confidential information obtained from reviewing manuscripts or grant applications must not be used without the author’s explicit permission.
• The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors approve the final paper and its submission.
• If an author finds a significant error in their published work, they must promptly inform the editor or publisher and help correct or retract the paper.
Publisher
• The publisher ensures manuscripts undergo anonymous peer review.
• The publisher adheres to copyright norms.
• Manuscripts are assessed solely on intellectual value, not the author’s attributes.
• The publisher must address ethical complaints about submitted or published papers.
Reviewers
• Reviewers should avoid manuscripts where there is a conflict of interest.
• Reviewers must be objective and clearly explain their views.
• Reviewers should report potential plagiarism or excessive similarities to other works.
• Privileged information from peer review must remain confidential and not be used for personal gain.
• Reviewers who feel unqualified or unable to review promptly should inform the editor and decline the review.
