Formatting
- Use a normal, plain font (e.g., 12-point Times Roman) and double-space all portions of the manuscript.
- Number all pages starting from the title page.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, as publication process may be delayed that do not adhere to these guidelines.
It should be arranged in the following order:
Title: The title should briefly describe the contents of the paper.
Abstract: The abstract should be informative and self-explanatory, briefly presenting the topic, scope of the experiments, significant data, and main findings.
Keywords: Include 3 to 6 keywords.
Introduction: Provide a clear statement of the problem and relevant literature.
Literature Review: A “Literature Review” is a comprehensive summary of previous research on a specific topic, evaluating and synthesizing relevant studies to provide context and insight for the current research.
Materials and Methods: Detail the methods enough to allow experiments to be reproduced.
Results: Present results with clarity and precision.
Discussion: Interpret findings in light of the results obtained and past studies. State conclusions at the end of the discussion.
Acknowledgments: Briefly acknowledge people, grants, funds, etc.
Tables and Figures
- Number tables and figures consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, Figure 2).
- Label parts of figures as A, B, C, etc. (e.g., Figure 1A, Figure 1B).
- Create tables using Microsoft Word table format (editable, not as images).
- Include tables and figures at the end of the manuscript with captions.
- Ensure images are high resolution and any text inside is clear.
Nomenclature and Units
- Write scientific names in italics (e.g., Azadirachta indica) in full form at the first mention. Afterwards, use the first letter of the genus and full species name (e.g., A. indica).
- Use SI Units (International System of Units) throughout.
References
- Cite references in the text by the author and year (e.g., Ashwathy & Krishnakumar, 2020).
- Use “&” when both author and year are in parentheses (e.g., (Ashwathy & Krishnakumar, 2020)).
- Use “and” when only the year is in parentheses (e.g., Ashwathy and Krishnakumar (2020)).
- For works by more than two authors, use “et al.” (e.g., Chamle et al., 2011).
- List groups of references chronologically, separated by semicolons (e.g., Chamle et al., 2011; Kumar et al., 2013; Lone et al., 2018).
